Register your team
Three steps, all done by 18 October 2026.
It is free, and it works on any phone.

- 2Join LogbookStudents and teachers, one minute each.
- 3Make your teamThen log your work as you build.
STEP 1 / REGISTRATION FORM
Fill in the form
The form asks for your team leader, your team members, your
school, your city and state, and one teacher who can be contacted. Have
those to hand and it takes a couple of minutes.
Before you register. Make sure your
parents and your teacher know you are taking part in SciHi.
OPEN THE REGISTRATION FORM
The form opens on Google Forms.
Your details go to the SciHi committee at DEI.
STEPS 2 AND 3 / LOGBOOK
Keep your project log in Logbook
Logbook is where your team keeps the record of its project
while it happens: what you tried, what failed, what you fixed, what you
learned. Your mentor reads it and replies in it, and at the end it becomes
your certificate. It works on any phone. There is nothing to install.

Your team’s Logbook
STEP 2
Join (one minute)
- Open the joining link below.
- Type your first name, the first letter of your surname, your class
and your school. Tick the box that says your parent knows. Tap Join.
- Logbook shows your code and your PIN. Write them down. You

JOIN LOGBOOK
This link closes on 18 October 2026.
STEP 3
Make your team
One member taps Make a team, gives the team a name,
types the teammates’ codes and taps Make our team. Logbook
says how many a team can have. Your teacher joins as your mentor.
EVERY WEEK
Log your work, the day it happens
- Open Log today and tap what happened: Tried, Failed,
Fixed or Learned.
- Write a line or two. To add a photo, tap Add a photo. If
someone’s face is in it, tick Shows a face.
- Tap the teammates who worked with you, then tap Log it.
If there is no signal, the entry
saves on your phone and sends itself later.
Failures count. A project with no failed
entries is a project nobody believes.
The three tabs
Our team
Shows every entry. If your mentor sends one back, tap
Fix it, change it and tap Send it again.
Project
When your team reaches the next stage, tap
We think we’re at, tick the entries that show it, and ask
your mentor to confirm. Feedback is where your mentor’s
notes appear.
Me
Your journey, the skills your mentor vouched for, your
projects, and your certificate when it is issued. Sign out is
there too.
FOR TEACHERS
Mentor your teams
As a mentor you see the teams you take on, approve their
work, send an entry back for more, confirm the stage a team has reached,
vouch for the skills you saw, and write to a student alone. It takes a few
minutes a week, on your phone.
JOIN
Join (one minute)
- Open the mentor link. The SciHi organisers send it to the teacher
named on each registration form. Not received it? Email
hardik@dei.ac.in.
- Type your name as students know you, your email and your school.
Choose a password. Tap Join. You stay signed in for thirty days.
THEN
Claim your teams
Open Your teams. Under Claim your teams, your
school’s teams are listed; tap I mentor this team. To find
a team another way, type one of its students’ codes and tap
Find their team.
EVERY WEEK
Review the entries
Open Progress. Everything waiting for you is
listed, team by team. Tap Approve to accept an entry, or
Approve all for a team’s entries at once. To ask for more,
tap Send back, pick a reason or write one line, and tap
Send back. Only approved entries can appear on the showcase.
Stages, and a quiet team
When a team proposes a stage, it appears at the top of
Progress. Tap see their proof to read the entries they
chose, then tap Confirm, or Not yet and say what is
missing. If a team has gone quiet, tap Nudge.
A student’s page
On a team’s page, tap a student’s name. To
vouch for a skill, pick the skill, tick the entries that show it, write
one sentence about what you saw, and tap Endorse. To write to
that student alone, tap Write to and send. Both go on the
student’s own record.
Your page
Tap My mentor page to add your photo, your details
and your links. Tick Publish my page and tap Save to share
it. Your mentor certificate appears there when the organizer issues
them.
Forgotten your password? Ask
the organizer for a new sign-in link.
Your data
The registration form collects your name, your team
members’ names, your school, city and state, a teacher’s name
and a contact number. It is used to run the hackathon: confirming your
team, allocating mentors, and issuing certificates. It is held by the
SciHi committee at Dayalbagh Educational Institute and is not sold or
shared for advertising.
Logbook asks students only for a first name, the first
letter of the surname, class and school. Photos that show a face are
marked when they are logged.
